OVERVIEW
The challenge was to help produce strengthened leadership approaches to better impact the organization with a more innovative design thinking mindset. With an increasing competitive landscape, the bank turned toward digital innovation to identify new technological opportunities to generate revenue. They wanted to focus on the next generation, attracting new talent, ideas, and technology. My contribution to this project was to bring these goals to life through design, design thinking, and collaboration on leadership materials.

LEADERSHIP FOR CHANGE
The title of the initiative, “Leadership For Change”, says it all; embracing change is pivotal. I designed presentations in a way never seen in the organization before. Even internal design requires great time and attention in order to grab attention and drive the change we preach. Print materials aided the program and drove executives out of their seats. Design thinking methods were introduced to executives, showing them how to spark, shape, and rapidly prototype new business solutions.
CONNECTING INTERNALLY
One of the opportunities discovered was in regards to the flow of ideas. I designed an application to allow for people to connect, spread ideas, and eliminate the work overlap for employees in such a large organization. Below are some of the initial sketches that I am able to share.
VISUALIZING SUCCESS
In order to prompt understanding, illustrations were chosen as the method to communicate concepts throughout the program. I created an illustration style to fit the objectives of evolution and innovation while integrating brand colors and aspects. Complex topics were broken down into easy to understand visuals, with playful characters at the center.
RESULTS
- Over 50 new business solutions generated within a 9 month timeframe to accelerate digital, customer advocacy, compliance, talent, and collective intelligence initiatives across business lines
- 14 projects are in the pilot phase which are driving significant incremental revenues
- Revolutionary new enterprise forum structure (first ever in the history of the organization) that promotes “transversality” and new set of shared convictions that span business lines, levels and geographies
