Aster is an enterprise blockchain supply chain software that leverages advanced data forensics and the authoritative power of a semi-private distributed ledger to increase the efficiency, precision and effectiveness of supply chain management while creating an immutable record of all interactions.
OVERVIEW
As Chief Creative Officer of Scroll, one of my responsibilities was its product Aster. Aster is a logistics tracking application for the supply chain industry, utilizing the power of blockchain technology. My team oversaw its brand, UI/UX development, and more. As a leader, my involvement is not “Do as I say” but rather, “Do as I do”, meaning I maintain involvement in every project and act as a main contributor to its production and identity, allowing for a fuller understanding and consideration of decisions for the team, the product, and the company.

FUTURISTIC INNOVATION
Being on the cutting edge of blockchain technology means inventing how businesses would interact with such complex technology, never before seen. The user should never need to worry about the technical side; the UI/UX was designed to ensure that. For instance, blockchain revolves around what is referred to as a ledger, it gets quite technical, however the user experiences the ledger simply as a recorded log of occurrences.

The tricky part of innovation is the barrier to accepting new function. It is important to incorporate experiences users are used to in order to drive intuitive use. When it comes to off boarding users from older services such as SAP and on boarding them to Aster, we kept in mind what works while identifying the pain points in order to resolve them.
SAAS
Being a Software as a Service product in B2B sales means customizing the application to an individual company’s needs. This means communicating a base product with core information and functionality, while also preparing content and plans for add-ons. The UI was designed to allow for seamless flow of new requirements and the ability to be branded for the particular company using the software.
